FEATURES
Alloy 36 is a 36% Alloy-iron alloy notable for its uniquely low coefficient of thermal expansion which is roughly one-tenth that of carbon steel in the range from room temperature to around 200°C. It also retains good strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures. It can be hot and cold formed and machined using processes similar to austenitic stainless steels.
APPLICATIONS
Alloy 36 is useful for applications where high dimensional stability is required such as standards of length, precision optical and laser system, cryogenic components. It is also used in conjunction with high expansion alloys in applications in bimetallic thermostats.

FEATURES
Alloy 690 is a high-chromium Alloy alloy having excellent resistance to many corrosive aqueous media and high-temperature atmospheres. Its high Alloy content gives it resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride containing environments and moderate concentrations of sodium hydroxide solutions. The high level of chromium imparts outstanding resistance to oxidizing environments and high temperature oxidizing gases. It also has high strength, good metallurgical stability and good fabrication characteristics.
APPLICATIONS
Coal-gasification units, burners and ducts for processing sulfuric acid; incinerators; furnaces for petrochemical processing; steam generator tubes; applications involving nitric acid or nitric/hydrofluoric acid solutions.
